AGARTALA, Sept  20: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday said that the CPIM is slowly vanishing as they are unwilling to come out of their negative mentality, while the BJP is a government of the people and will remain forever.

Saha said this while participating in a mega blood donation camp organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Tripura Pradesh OBC Morcha, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.

He said that the OBC Morcha has been working in line with the directives of the Central and Pradesh BJP.

“Karyakram means Sewa hi Sangathan. They always try to give 100% effort in their work. Today, around 100 people came here to donate blood. On 17th September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, a series of programs were set by the central BJP, and we are also carrying them out here. This is known as Sewa Pakhwada, which includes a series of social works. Our government has also been working for the people. In terms of GSDP, Tripura stands second highest in the Northeast, and we are also ahead in per capita income. We are working for infrastructural development, and our state government is increasing the state budget. Tripura has a large OBC population—around 40%—and we are committed to working for the betterment of each and every person,” said Saha.

Saha further said that no one has ever seen a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi, who has been working for everyone. He accused the opposition of trying to confuse people with misleading statements.

“Our government is also working for the development of SHGs. We must work to make women self-reliant and empowered. Due to heavy rainfall in Tripura, potholes have appeared on roads, and the rain has also hampered proper repair work. We acknowledge that a portion of the roads was damaged, but we took immediate steps to restore them. The opposition tries to highlight half-truths and spread them on social media to mislead people and gain votes. But they will never acknowledge the positive work being done. They have not even expressed gratitude to PM Modi for initiatives like GST, Operation Sindoor, and others. People have faith and trust in the present government, which is transparent and works for everyone. We should never distance ourselves from the public. The CPIM refuses to come out of its negativity, and that is why it is slowly vanishing. The BJP is a government of the people, and it will remain forever,” he added.
