TEZPUR, Oct 6: A coordination and preparatory meeting for the upcoming LAC-wise Mega Health Camp in Tezpur Legislative Assembly Constituency was held on Monday at the District Commissioner’s Office Conference Hall, Sonitpur. The camp, part of the State Government’s “Susrusha Setu 2025” initiative, will be launched during “Seva Hi Samarpan: Seva Saptah.”
The meeting was chaired by District Commissioner Ananda Kumar Das and attended by ADC (Health) Twahir Alam, Tezpur Municipal Board Chairperson Ramen Tamuli, Joint Director of Health Services Dr Jagadish Goswami, KCH Superintendent, TMCH Nodal Officer, and officials from departments including P&RD, APDCL, Health & Family Welfare, PHE, Education, DIPRO, Social Welfare, and NHM Sonitpur.
The District Commissioner reviewed departmental readiness and stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination for the smooth conduct of the camp, scheduled for October 10 at Tezpur Government Higher Secondary School.
The camp will offer comprehensive health screenings for children aged 0–18 years, covering over 50 diseases and conditions such as congenital heart diseases, neurological disorders, cleft lip and palate, congenital malformations, and endocrine and hematological disorders. General health check-ups and wellness activities will also be provided.
The District Commissioner urged parents and guardians to bring their children to avail of the free screenings and specialist consultations.
