Guwahati, 10 Oct: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state government is on course to complete nearly two lakh public appointments, exceeding its initial target of one lakh.
The announcement followed the official declaration of the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) 2025 results for Grade III posts, which saw 7,650 candidates selected across 50 state departments. The results were published at 10:30 AM on the official portals assam.gov.in and sebaonline.org.
The ADRE 2025 attracted 23,85,421 applicants from 28 districts, with 17,31,616 appearing for the written examination. Of those, 16,295 candidates cleared the skill test, and 13,877 advanced to the final stage. Based on combined scores from the written and skill assessments, 7,650 candidates were confirmed successful.
Sarma described the outcome as a demonstration of “clean, transparent, and merit-based recruitment,” asserting that the government’s approach safeguards the future of Assam’s youth while setting a benchmark for fairness and opportunity in public appointments.
