Dhemaji, 10 Oct: In a first of its kind initiative, a day long training session on land rights and land literacy for women was held at Jonai Girls College of Jonai Co-District.

The session was organized by Co-District Administration, Jonai in collaboration with the office of Director of Land Requsition, Acquisition & Reforms, Assam. During the session, over 90 women from various SHG groups were made aware about their land rights, inheritance, administration and access to financial support.

They were given hands-on training on online portals of Govt of Assam (like Dharitree, Sewa Setu) to enable them to check their land records, raise requests for name correction and pay land revenue.
