Guwahati, Oct 10: Trouble seems to be following Barchalla MLA Ganesh Limbu wherever he goes. After recently facing public protests in Bihguri, where angry residents blocked the national highway against him, the BJP leader this time found himself at the receiving end of frustration from his own party workers in Sonitpur district.
The incident unfolded at Gondhabil, where BJP workers openly confronted Limbu during a local meeting. Voices were raised, fingers were pointed, and questions came firing one after another — “What road have you built?” “What development have you done in ten years?” The workers accused him of doing little for the constituency despite being in power for a decade.
What began as a regular gathering soon turned heated, as the MLA struggled to calm the crowd. With the situation spiralling out of control, Limbu was eventually forced to leave the venue. The scene has sparked whispers within the BJP circle, with many viewing it as a sign of growing dissatisfaction within the party’s own base in Barchalla.
