Dhemaji, 11 Oct: A horrific road accident occurred on National Highway 515 near the Poba forest area along the Assam-Arunachal border in Jonai.
A biker was seriously injured after being hit by a dumper truck and has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
According to reports, on National Highway 515 near the Poba forest, a dumper bearing registration number HR46F 6452, which was involved in unloading sand and gravel for the ongoing four-lane road construction, rammed into a motorcycle traveling from Ruksin to Old Zelm while speeding away after unloading. The impact caused the biker and his motorcycle to be dragged under the dumper.

The injured has been identified as Bishnu Kumbang, the rider of a motorcycle bearing registration number AS22H 7561, who sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the dumper driver fled the scene after the accident.
