SIGAR, Oct 13: The Spearhead Division of the Spear Corps recently organised a Military-Civil Fusion event at Sigar Military Station to strengthen synergy, understanding, and cooperation between the Indian Army and the civil administration of Arunachal Pradesh.
Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta, Director General of Police Anand Mohan, and Major General Vivek Bankshi, General Officer Commanding, Spearhead Division, along with other dignitaries from various departments and the Indian Army, attended the interaction.
The participants held discussions on collaborative initiatives in areas such as humanitarian and disaster relief operations, integrated development in border areas, border tourism, and socio-cultural development.
They also deliberated on measures for the welfare of veterans in the state, appreciating the efforts of the Spear Corps in supporting ex-servicemen.
A display of advanced military equipment, including drones, was organised as part of the event, showcasing the Indian Army’s technological progress under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The civil dignitaries commended the armed forces for their dual role in ensuring national security while contributing to community welfare and developmental efforts.
The event reaffirmed the spirit of the “Whole of Nation” approach, underscoring the shared vision of progress, security, and harmony between the civil administration and the Indian Army in Arunachal Pradesh.
