Assam Tribal Literary and Cultural Meet on April 9, 10

DIPHU, April 4:  Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Asam Sahitya Sabha (ASS) and Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) have jointly organised a two-day Assam Tribal Literary and Cultural Meet at Joysing Dolloi Auditorium from April 9 to 10 for the exhibition of local art and craft, cultural demonstration and literary meet.

Announcing this, the president of the reception committee, MLA, Bidyasing Engleng said that more than 20 ethnic groups from the state will participate in the programme to showcase their culture and tradition.

The event will be inaugurated by the chief executive member (CEM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang.

Writers’ meet will also be organised, where writers and poets can present their short stories, articles and poems. Two awards will be awarded, i.e. Joysing Hanse Memorial Award and Dhormesor Putuki Child Literary Award.

Asam Sahitya Sabha president Kuladhar Saikia and vice president Mrinalini Devi shall also grace the meet.
