Tezpur, 16 Oct: Acting Registrar Pritam Dev and Dean of the School of Engineering Shankar Chandra Deka have resigned from their posts. Both officials submitted their applications to Acting Vice Chancellor Raja Rafiul Haque, seeking relief from their official responsibilities, and the acting VC accepted their requests.
After resigning, Pritam Dev and Shankar Chandra Deka raised their voices against Vice Chancellor Shambhunath Singh. In a written statement addressed to student representatives, teachers, and staff members, Acting Registrar Pritam Dev, Dean of the School of Engineering Shankar Chandra Deka, and Acting Vice Chancellor Raja Rafiul Haque stated that they had been forced to be part of unethical activities against their will due to fear of the Vice Chancellor.
