JAGIROAD, Oct 17: Proving that poverty is no barrier to success, Prince Gohain from Jagi Bhakatgaon near Jagiroad has cleared the recently conducted Assam Police Sub-Inspector examination. His achievement stands as a testament to perseverance, hard work, and dedication.
Prince is the son of Ashish Gohain and Rahila Gohain, who worked in other people’s homes to fund their son’s education. He completed his High School Leaving Certificate Examination from Jagi Higher Secondary School with star marks and went on to earn a BSc degree from Kshetri Dimoria College.
Speaking to this correspondent, Prince expressed joy over qualifying for the SI post and extended heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the state government for conducting a fair and transparent recruitment process. He said the exam has opened new doors for aspirants from financially weaker sections across the state.
