GUWAHATI, Oct 17: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya met with UPSC aspirants from Assam selected under the ‘Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana 2025’ at Assam Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday. During the interaction, the Governor took stock of their academic progress and the support being provided through the free coaching programme.
Encouraging the aspirants to stay committed, disciplined and focused, the Governor expressed his satisfaction with their enthusiasm and wished them success in their journey to become civil servants. The students, currently undergoing coaching at leading institutions in Delhi, also shared their experiences and aspirations with the Governor.

The selected candidates had earlier cleared a rigorous selection process including screening, counselling, essay writing and personal interviews conducted in Guwahati.
The initiative is a flagship scheme of Raj Bhavan Assam in collaboration with Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan, under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh. It aims to provide quality coaching and mentorship to talented but underprivileged youth of Assam preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
The programme is part of a broader vision to empower deserving candidates from the state and contribute to the national vision of Viksit Bharat.
