GUWAHATI, Oct 6: A counselling session, essay test, and personal interview for shortlisted and waitlisted candidates under the Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana 2025 were conducted on October 5 and 6 at the International Guest House, Rohika, AAU.
The scheme, launched in 2024 under the guidance of Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, aims to identify and support meritorious students from Assam aspiring to join the All India Civil Services. It provides free UPSC coaching in New Delhi, helping talented youth access top-tier mentorship and preparation resources. The 2025 edition is the initiative’s second phase.
The counselling session featured motivational talks by Anu Vasudeva, Executive Director (Projects), Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and Akhil Bhartiya Dayanand Sewashram, who urged aspirants to pursue their goals with integrity and determination. Rajiv Talwar, Controller of Finance, Ambedkar University Delhi, also shared insights on focused preparation and consistency.
Aspirants interacted with Abhigyan Khaund (IFS, 2024 batch), who shared his personal journey and preparation strategies. The session concluded with an address by S S Meenakshi Sundaram, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor, who congratulated the candidates and reaffirmed the Governor’s vision to empower Assam’s youth.
The process included an essay test and personal interviews conducted in hybrid mode, assessing the candidates’ aptitude, analytical skills, and motivation for public service. Based on performance, 10 candidates were selected for free UPSC coaching in New Delhi. The programme will be organised in collaboration with Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan under the Akhil Bhartiya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh at premier coaching institutions.
The Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana remains a flagship initiative committed to preparing the youth of Assam for national-level civil service success.
