BISWANATH CHARIALI, Oct 21: Assam Rifles celebrated Diwali with great fervour at the Battalion Headquarters in Lokra on Monday, bringing together troops, their families, and members of the local community in a festive atmosphere of joy and harmony.
The celebration saw the participation of 677 unit personnel, along with their family members and children, and 40 residents from the Lokra area, making a total of 717 attendees.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of diyas, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and the victory of good over evil, setting a joyful tone for the festivities.
