JAGIROAD, Nov 1: After remaining closed for more than six years, Jagiroad’s only cinema hall, Ganesh Talkies is reopened with the screening of Zubeen Garg’s much-awaited film Roi Roi Binale.
The hall, which has a seating capacity of 780, had been shut down due to a decline in audience turnout and other operational reasons. Over the past few days, the management has been working tirelessly to refurbish and prepare the venue for its reopening.

It may be recalled that during a cultural event in Jagiroad two years ago, Zubeen Garg had promised to reopen the cinema hall for the release of his new film. Keeping that promise, Ganesh Talkies will now resume operations with three daily shows of Roi Roi Binale.
Excitement runs high among local fans and residents, as both the cinema hall management and Zubeen’s fan groups have been actively involved in reviving the theatre. Notably, the film’s producer, Rajesh Bhuyan, also hails from Jagiroad, adding a special local connection to the reopening event.
