NAGAON, Nov 1: DPS Nagaon organised an informative and interactive session titled “Growing Up for Girls – 2025” for students of Grades V to VIII on Friday. The session aimed to raise awareness among young girls about the physical and emotional changes during puberty and to promote self-awareness, confidence and self-respect.
The school counsellor, Roma Islam Hazarika, conducted the session with insight and sensitivity, guiding students on personal hygiene, emotional management and self-esteem building. The programme provided a safe platform for students to clarify doubts and express concerns freely.
The initiative marked an important step in empowering girls to embrace their growth with confidence and strength. Principal Ritu Rajnish appreciated the effort and highlighted the importance of such awareness programmes in nurturing responsible, confident and emotionally balanced individuals.
The session concluded with an encouraging message for participants to value themselves and continue their journey of self-growth and empowerment.
