The programme was organised by the Land & Revenue Department, KAAC.

Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Ronghang said the KAAC has been committed to providing land pattas to indigenous tribal communities residing in the twin hill districts of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong since 1952.

“There is no discrimination on party lines. Whether the beneficiaries are supporters of opposition parties like the All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) or the Congress, it does not matter as everyone will get land pattas free of cost,” Ronghang said.

Assuring support to educated unemployed youths of both districts, the CEM announced that financial assistance of Rs 5,000 will be provided after a couple of months to help them start small businesses.
