During his service, the young officer maintained peace and order with sincerity while addressing various social concerns within his jurisdiction. His polite approach made him a popular figure among locals. Gogoi also led several successful drives against drugs such as ganja and other illegal substances, and made special efforts to spread awareness against drug abuse.

Beyond his uniform, Gogoi is known for his compassion towards animals and nature. Whenever he learnt about an injured or endangered animal, he reached the spot immediately, even at night, to ensure its safety. Recently, he rescued a python safely near the Mahabhairab Police Outpost, drawing praise from the public.

He has saved many wild creatures, including a 15-kilogram tortoise, monkeys and several birds, ensuring their medical care before releasing them back into their natural surroundings. His exceptional work in wildlife protection earned him recognition from Prakriti Goot, an environmental group led by nature activist Saurav Borkotoky, which honoured him during the World Snake Day programme.

As per department rules, Sub Inspector Gogoi has now been transferred to Tinsukia district. Locals gathered at the outpost to thank him for his dedicated service and wished him success, saying officers like him bring humanity and honour to the police force
