DIPHU, Nov 16: Bokajan MLA and Assam Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr Numal Momin said rumours that BJP is against Christians are false, stressing that no ruling party can discriminate against any religion or community. He made the remarks at the centenary celebration of Deithor Baptist Church in Karbi Anglong on Saturday.
Dr Momin, a Christian himself urged believers to rely on prayer to overcome difficulties and highlighted government schemes for religious minorities. He also announced the completion of the Deithor-Dolamara road under Asom Mala.
