Seventh anniversary of World Peace Retreat Centre

DEMOW, Nov 17: The World Peace Retreat Centre at Demow Barua Changmai Gaon celebrated its seventh anniversary on Sunday with a series of spiritual and cultural events. The centre, run by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, hosted dignitaries, devotees and members of the community throughout the day.

Former Jorhat MP and Chairman of the Assam Industrial Corporation, Topon Kumar Gogoi, inaugurated the newly constructed Healing Garden, developed under the MP Fund 2023–24. BK Sudesh Didiji, Joint Administrative Head of Brahma Kumaris, Mount Abu and Director of Brahma Kumaris Germany and Europe, inaugurated a pyramid structure within the campus.

Saplings were planted by Topon Kumar Gogoi, Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, Principal of Gargaon College and Padma Dhar Dutta, Sepon Mouza Mouzadar in the presence of guests. A public meeting followed, coordinated by BK Anita and BK Ruchika beginning with a minute of God’s remembrance. Dignitaries were felicitated with gamosa, badges and saplings, accompanied by a swagat dance performed by BK Shilpa and BK Karbi.

Senior Rajyoga Teacher BK Rakesh Bhaiji from New Delhi delivered an introductory address on the Brahma Kumaris. A candle-lighting ceremony was also held. BK Sudesh Didiji spoke on “Meditation for World Unity and Trust,” while Topon Kumar Gogoi addressed the gathering. Cultural presentations included the Dasavtar dance performed by Kumari Bidisha.

The event was attended by BK Rajni Didi, Tinsukia Sub-zone in charge and BK Jonali Didiji, Guwahati Sub-zone in charge, along with several other dignitaries, marking a meaningful and spiritually enriching anniversary celebration.
