GUWAHATI, Nov 21: The National Basketball Association (NBA), global pharma solutions provider ACG, and the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) on Friday announced the 2025-26 edition of the ACG Jr NBA 3v3 National Tournament, set to become the largest school-based basketball programme in India.
The nationwide U-14 boys’ and girls’ tournament will cover 10 cities, with Skechers continuing its association as the Official Kit Partner, supplying high-quality gear to all participating teams.
The Guwahati leg of the tournament will take place on December 17, following earlier rounds in Ludhiana, Chennai, Udaipur and New Delhi.
After Guwahati, the tournament will move to Bengaluru, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kochi and Indore.
Schools from eligible states within each zone can register their boys’ and girls’ teams to compete in their respective city events.
The top two boys’ and girls’ teams from each zone, along with one all-star team from both divisions, will qualify for the ACG Jr NBA 3v3 National Finals next year.
Dates for the remaining city stops and the National Finals will be announced progressively.
The tournament is operated by India On Track, a leading grassroots sports organisation.
The ACG Jr NBA programme, launched in India in 2013, continues to introduce basketball fundamentals and values to young players across the country.
Since its inception, the programme has reached more than 15 million students and 15,000 physical education instructors across 35 cities.
It forms a key part of the NBA’s broader grassroots initiatives in India, which also include the NBA Basketball School—tuition-based training centres across 13 cities for players aged 6 to 18.
Families, players and coaches can follow updates about the 2025-26 tournament through the NBA India social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X.
The 2025-26 NBA season is currently available live in India on Prime Video and NBA League Pass via the NBA App, which also offers news, scores, stats and schedules.
NBA India Country Head Rajah Chaudhry said the ACG Jr NBA programme remains central to identifying and nurturing young talent.
He noted that many participants have progressed to national teams, international development programmes, US collegiate basketball and professional leagues.
He added that the partnership with ACG, BFI and Skechers aims to create structured pathways for young athletes to reach higher levels of the sport.
BFI President Aadhav Arjuna said the programme reflects a shared commitment to building basketball from the grassroots, noting the rising interest at school level and the importance of fostering a strong talent pipeline.
ACG Managing Director Karan Singh emphasised the programme’s role in democratising basketball and creating inclusive environments for children across India.
BFI Secretary General Kulvinder Singh Gill said the 3v3 format offers a meaningful platform for young players to develop skills and teamwork. Skechers South Asia CEO and Country Manager Rahul Vira added that as interest in basketball continues to grow, the brand is committed to equipping young athletes with performance-driven gear to support their development.
