Dibrugarh University fellow wins best poster at International Symposium

DIBRUGARH, Nov 21: Anindita Borah an Inspire Fellow (SRF) from the Department of Physics, Dibrugarh University, won the Best Poster Presentation Award at the International Symposium on Tropical Meteorology held at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune from 18–20 November 2025.

Her poster, titled “Regional Hydrological Response to Climate Variability in North-East India: Emphasising Water Availability,” examined the impacts of climate variability on regional water resources, highlighting hydrological shifts, vulnerabilities and the need for sustainable interventions.

The award underscores the contributions of young researchers from Dibrugarh University in addressing climate and environmental challenges. Faculty members and the university community have congratulated Borah for her achievement on the international platform.
