RC-EMEx 2025 begins at Kampur College

NAGAON, Dec 8: The Revenue Circle Emergency Management Exercise (RC-EMEx 2025) commenced today at the Kampur College auditorium, marking a significant step towards strengthening disaster preparedness at the grassroots level in Nagaon district.

The programme has been organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Nagaon, and the Kampur Revenue Circle, in collaboration with the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) and the Disaster Management Cell of Kampur College.

The Circle Officer of Kampur Revenue Circle, who attended as the chief guest, inaugurated the event in the presence of the principal of Kampur College, the District Project Officer of DDMA Nagaon, resource persons, field officers from Kampur, Rupahi, Samaguri and Raha Revenue Circles, IA and DEOC officials from Nagaon, along with over 150 participants from various departments and community volunteer groups.

In her inaugural address, the Circle Officer stressed the importance of strong coordination and preparedness at the local level to ensure timely and effective disaster response.

She termed RC-EMEx 2025 a significant initiative towards building disaster-resilient communities.

The first day of the exercise included four parallel specialised training tracks facilitated by the District Project Officer of DDMA Nagaon and supported by expert resource persons.

The sessions provided hands-on training on disaster preparedness, inter-agency coordination and community response protocols.

The inaugural day concluded with active participation and enthusiasm from stakeholders, setting a strong tone for the upcoming sessions and reaffirming Nagaon district’s commitment to developing a more resilient and disaster-ready administrative framework.
