BILASIPARA, Dec 17: An emotional atmosphere prevailed at Kajikata People’s Multiple Academy Higher Secondary School in Bilasipara as a formal farewell ceremony was organised to honour two retiring headmasters, a science teacher and two Grade-IV staff members.
The programme was attended by students, teachers, guardians and well-wishers who gathered to bid a heartfelt farewell to former headmasters Samsul Haque and Anshab Ali, science teacher Abdul Siddique Sheikh and Grade-IV staff members Juran Ali Mondal and Hurmuj Ali Ahmed. All the retiring members were recognised for their long and dedicated service to the institution.
The retirees were felicitated with traditional gamosas, floral garlands, bouquets, books, citation letters and mementos as tokens of respect and gratitude.
Speakers at the programme recalled the immense contributions of the retiring teachers towards the educational upliftment of the backward region. They praised their honesty, integrity, dedication, discipline and sense of duty throughout their service. Students, former students, colleagues, parents and members of the local community highlighted how the retiring teachers maintained cordial relationships with all sections of society and worked tirelessly for the overall development of the school.
Several speakers became emotional while sharing their memories and experiences with the departing teachers. The gathering unanimously wished the retirees good health, long life and happiness and encouraged them to remain associated with social and educational activities in the future.
