After an eleven-day-long hunger strike, the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) sent a delegation to the protest site and handed over the invitation letter to the protesters. While the invitation signals willingness from the authorities to engage, the protesters have stated that their hunger strike will continue until the discussions actually take place.
