GUWAHATI, Jan 1: The poetry collection “Nasi Uthok Bosonto Xomoy” by Bitopan Dutta was formally launched at the Assam Publication Board’s Book Fair at Khanapara. Published by ‘Purulil Prakashan’, the book was unveiled by Devajit Bora, General Secretary of Asom Sahitya Sabha, in the presence of several literary and media personalities.
The launch also marked the debut of ‘Purulil Prakashan’ as a publishing house. Eminent attendees included Naren Hazarika Editor-in-Chief of Dainandin Barta, Professor Dr Buljit Borgohain of Don Bosco University, Sahitya Akademi Award-winning writer Jugallochan Das, Ratul Goswami, General Secretary of Assam State Primary Teachers’ Association, sports journalist Rajdeep Das and writer-journalist Darshana Barua, along with several other media persons.
Devajit Bora praised Bitopan Dutta for remaining active in creative pursuits despite moving away from journalism. Dr Buljit Borgohain welcomed Purulil Prakashan’s entry into Assamese literature, while Naren Hazarika expressed hope that the poetry collection would be well-received by readers.
