Preparatory meeting held in Diphu for Republic Day celebrations

DIPHU, Jan 6: The District Administration, Karbi Anglong, on Tuesday convened a preparatory meeting in connection with the celebration of the 77th Republic Day, scheduled to be observed on January 26 at the Diphu Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School playground.

The meeting, held at 3 pm in the conference hall of the Circuit House, Diphu, was chaired by District Commissioner Aranyak Saikia and attended by officers from all line departments.

During the meeting, departmental duties and responsibilities were reviewed in detail to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the Republic Day programme.

Arrangements relating to the main ceremonial function, parade, security, logistics and inter-departmental coordination were discussed at length.

The District Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure the timely completion of assigned responsibilities and maintain close coordination for the successful observance of the national event. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on collective efforts to ensure that the Republic Day celebration is conducted in a dignified and orderly manner.
