GUWAHATI, Jan 26: The Kamrup Chamber of Commerce recently submitted a detailed memorandum to the chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, outlining key suggestions aimed at accelerating development, industrialisation and employment generation in the state.
The memorandum was submitted through Member of Parliament Bhubaneswar Kalita and Pradan Baruah at the office of the Kamrup Chamber of Commerce.
It presents a focused five-year implementation roadmap covering multiple sectors critical to Assam’s growth trajectory.
According to the Chamber, the proposals emphasise strengthening infrastructure, promoting industrial growth, boosting tourism potential, improving urban planning and creating large-scale employment opportunities across the state.
The recommendations are aimed at ensuring balanced and sustainable development while enhancing Assam’s economic competitiveness.
The Kamrup Chamber of Commerce reiterated its willingness to work in close coordination with the state government and concerned authorities to ensure effective execution of the proposed initiatives.
It expressed confidence that collaborative efforts between the government and industry stakeholders would help translate the recommendations into tangible outcomes in the coming years.
