15 Bangladeshi migrants pushed back from Assam: Himanta

GUWAHATI, Feb 1: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday announced that 15 Bangladeshi immigrants were pushed back from the state, without specifying the district where the action took place.

Posting on X, Sarma said, “I do what I say, ALWAYS! So when I say, we will go all out against illegal infiltrators, we back it up with firm actions. 15 illegal Bangladeshis have been PUSHED BACK right to where they belong. Our mission continues…”

The Assam government has been actively pushing back illegal migrants from Bangladesh through its borders, as part of its ongoing crackdown on infiltration.
