Morigaon, Feb 04: Morigaon District Commissioner Anamika Tewari visited the volleyball training centre at Dandua on February 4, and interacted with young players undergoing professional coaching. She was accompanied by District Sports Officer Chandan Talukdar.
During the visit, the DC encouraged the trainees to aim higher and work towards representing the country in national and international competitions. She urged the youths to make full use of government-backed sports facilities and schemes, and to bring pride to Morigaon through disciplined training and performance.
The players welcomed the District Commissioner’s visit with visible excitement, calling it a major morale booster for the budding sportspersons at the camp.
The ongoing volleyball training programme is being jointly organised by the Morigaon District Sports Office and the Kuhipat Volleyball Academy. District Sports Officer Chandan Talukdar informed that the camp will continue in the coming days with the aim of identifying and grooming talented players from the district for higher-level competitions.
