DIMAPUR, Feb 20: A galaxy of eminent science academicians were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards by Nagaland University during the Inaugural Ceremony of the International Conference on Chemistry in Multidisciplinary Research (ICCMR–2026), organised by the Department of Chemistry from 18–20 February 2026. At the inaugural ceremony held on February 18, at I Ihoshe Kinimi Hall, Lumami, the awards were presented to Prof AK Mallik; Prof VS Raja; Prof MA Quraishi; Prof M Indira Devi and Prof Nitin Chattopadhyay. Prof AK Mallik of Punjabi University, Patiala; Prof VS Raja of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB); Prof MA Quraishi formerly of IIT (BHU) Varanasi and associated with AKS University, Satna; Prof M Indira Devi of Nagaland University and Prof Nitin Chattopadhyay formerly of Jadavpur University, Kolkata, were recognised for their extensive contributions to materials chemistry, corrosion science and green chemistry, physical chemistry, photophysics, photochemistry, biophysical chemistry, surface chemistry, fluorescence sensing, nanotechnology and interdisciplinary chemical research.
