MORIGAON, March 15: Former Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC), former secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) and former president of the Morigaon District Congress Committee (MDCC), Ramesh Bordoloi has resigned from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress (INC) following the publication of the party’s second candidate list for the 2026 Assembly elections.
Bordoloi alleged that he had been deprived of rightful recognition within the party.
Ramesh Bordoloi has already sent his resignation letter to the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Assam in-charge Jitendra Singh.
Bordoloi had served the party for nearly 30 years.
