Farewell ceremony held for outgoing Hojai DC Bidyut Bikash Bhagwati

HOJAI, March 16: The district administration of Hojai on Monday organised a farewell ceremony for outgoing District Commissioner Bidyut Bikash Bhagwati, who has been transferred as Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Assam.

The programme was held at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s office and was attended by the newly appointed District Commissioner Deva Prasad Mishra, along with officers and staff from various administrative departments.

Speakers at the event recalled Bhagwati’s contributions to the development of the district, highlighting his role in promoting administrative transparency and strengthening public service delivery during his tenure.

Officials also praised his sense of responsibility, dedication and cooperative approach.

Addressing the gathering, Bhagwati thanked the officers and staff of the district administration for their cooperation and support, stating that the successful completion of various administrative tasks during his tenure was made possible through their collective efforts.

He also expressed gratitude to the people of Hojai for their continued support.

As a mark of respect, the district administration honoured him with a phulam gamocha, a shawl and a memento before bidding him farewell and wishing him success in his new assignment.
