The programme was attended by distinguished guests, including Madhab Prasad Upadhyay and Daiji Basumatry. During the event, the guests highlighted the social, legal and psychological consequences of the dowry system and stressed the importance of collective social responsibility in eliminating the social evil.

They also encouraged students and youths to become active agents of social change and spread awareness in society.

A major attraction of the programme was the performance of a powerful Nukkad Natak by NSS volunteers, which effectively portrayed the negative impact of the dowry system on families and women.
