GUWAHATI, June 16: The BJP on Tuesday said 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government have marked a “significant chapter” in India’s modern history.
In a statement, Assam BJP spokesperson Mita Nath Bora said the country has witnessed transformation across multiple sectors, including economic development, infrastructure creation, digital governance, financial inclusion, social welfare, national security, women empowerment, youth development and global diplomacy during this period.
“Over the past 12 years, India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world and has established itself as a leading voice in global affairs. India’s achievements are being recognised and appreciated globally,” she added.

“As India celebrates 12 years of transformative governance under Modi, Assam stands as a shining example of how visionary leadership under both the PM and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma can work together to create prosperity, opportunity and renewed confidence in the future,” she added.
The state’s achievements reflect the broader story of a resurgent India that is stronger, more confident, more connected, and increasingly respected across the world, Bora said. (PTI)
