SILCHAR, Aug 27: Cachar adminstration has restricted movements of all types of vehicles except passenger carrying vehicles in Silchar on Sunday to facilitate the movement of candidates for the State Government recruitment examination in Silchar.
Issuing an order on Saturday deputy commissioner Cachar has restricted the movement of heavy vehicles, commercial vehicles carrying goods, trucks, hand driven carts, etc. from 4 am to 3 pm on Sunday. All types of vehicles except passenger vehicles will be stopped at the entry point of the city like Rangpur point, END Colony, Chirukandi, ISBT, National Highway point, Nagatila etc. Besides, all types of vehicles will be closed from DC office to DFO and Sadar Post Office road.

In this order of the district magistrate, it has been informed that other than the passenger vehicles coming from the direction of Katigorah, Gumra, Kalaian, other vehicles will also be stopped at the entrance of the city. Meanwhile, several restrictions have been issued under Section 144, in all the examination centers of the district. As a result, no one will be allowed to enter the examination centers except candidates and invigilator and law enforcement personnel on duty, no electronic gadgets will be allowed in the exam centers.
