Inauguration of blood component separation units of LMCH today

HT BureauGUWAHATI, Sept 2: The government of Assam has upgraded another 3 numbers of existing licensed blood banks to Blood Component Separation Units this year along with Lakhimpur Medical College Hospital Lakhimpur. They are at Mangaldai Civil Hospital Darrang, BP Civil Hospital Nagaon and SMK Civil Hospital Nalbari which will be inaugurated centrally at LMCH by minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Assam on Saturday at 9 am.

Government of Assam has also completed the work for upgradation of another 5 existing licensed blood banks to Blood Component Separation Unit (BCSU) at Kanaklata Civil Hospital, Sonitpur, Tinsukia Civil Hospital Tinsukia, K.K. Civil Hospital Golaghat, SM Dev Civil Hospital Cachar and Dhubri Medical College Hospital Dhubri which will be functionalised shortly.
