63rd Foundation Day of Biswanath College organised

HT CorrespondentBISWANATH COLLEGE, Sept 8: The 63rd Foundation Day of Biswanath College was observed at Biswanath college with pomp and gaiety on Wednesday. The day-long programme began with hoisting of the institutional flag by Kokil Hazarika, president of the governing body followed by lighting of ceremonial lamps by Pramod Borthakur, MLA Biswanath LAC. Ramananda Bora, vice principal Smritirekha Bora and Ajit Dutta planted saplings.

An open session was held at the conference hall of the college with Kokil Hazarika in the chair. Dr. Chinta Mani Sharma, principal of the college forwarded welcome speech which was attended by Prabin Hazarika, former minister as chief guest, Apurba Kumar Das, president of the Alumni Association of the college, Chandana Lahan, Biren Bhagawati as guests. The open session began with a chorus. Naresh Thakur, coordinator of IQAC conducted the proceedings of the open session. Anjan Ozah, former principal of Chaiduar College graced the occasion as a resource person for a training session organised for the professional development of non-teaching staff of the college. The day-long event concluded with the lighting of earthen lamps in the evening by office bearers of the Students’ Union of the college.
