BISWANATH CHARIALI: One Mukesh Gorh, a resident of Dekorai TE under Biswanath district was arrested by a team of Itakhola outpost headed by Bhaskar Jyoti Saikia, officer in charge of Itakhola outpost on the charge of killing his son Chamar Gorh (10 months) on Friday.
According to information, Mukesh Gorh, a resident of Dekorai TE killed his ten month old son and caused serious injury to his wife Ranjana Chawra due to family conflict on Thursday morning and escaped from the incident site. Severely injured Ranjana Chawra was immediately taken to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital for further treatment. A team of Itakhola outposts managed to arrest Mukesh Gorh from line no 8 of Dekorai TE on Friday.
Notably, Mukesh Gorh engaged in a quarrel with his wife Ranjana who later left her husband’s house and moved to the house of her father located at line no 16 of Dekorai TE a few days back. Mukesh Gorh visited the house of his father-in-law and engaged in a quarrel with his wife therein again. Being furious he attacked his wife and his son with a sharp weapon. The infant died on the spot while his wife sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.
