GUWAHATI, Sept 30: Freshmen social of Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya, Guwahati unit was successfully concluded on Friday.
The informal session started from 9 am to 11 am. The formal session started at 11 am. The programme started with the university anthem. The guests, parents, journalists and new students were welcomed and the oath-taking ceremony was conducted by the registrar of the university, Prof. Mrinal Kumar Bora.
After the oath taking, vice-chancellor of the university, Prof. Mridul Hazarika inspired the students by sharing his own life’s experiences. He emphasised on setting goals in life and strategies to reach that goal.

Attending the programme as chief guest, MP Pabitra Margherita shared his own struggles and experiences to encourage the students. He said nothing is impossible if there is determination. Pabitra Margherita declared that an amount of Rs 50 lakh shall be sanctioned to MSSV from the development fund of MP for collaborative projects.
