DONGKAMUKAM, Nov 2: The chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang attended as chief guest at ‘One India Greater India’, the 2nd Executive Meeting of BJP Minority Morcha, West Karbi Anglong District Committee (WKADC) office at Ghilani, head office BJP WKADC.
Speaking on the occasion, Ronghang said that minorities were now feeling safer after the BJP came to power.
“Not only in the rest of India but in Assam as well they (minorities) are very safe. The State Government has launched various development schemes for the development of Christians through Minority Welfare Development, Assam Darshan, etc,” he said.
He further pointed out that party tickets were given to Christian community in Assembly as well as in Member of Autonomous Council elections. The CEM appealed to the minorities to join the BJP and work collectively towards building a new and better Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong.
The MP, Horensing Bey in his speech attacked the Congress propaganda of the BJP being anti minorities and said the Christians and Muslims are never going to lose their voting rights.
President of BJP Minority Morcha, WKADC, Chiniram Rongpi; executive member (EM) of KAAC, DU Maslai; general secretary of Assam Pradesh Minority Morcha, Mustaque Uddin Ahmed; President of BJP, WKADC Radip Ronghang and others were present at the meeting.
