GUWAHATI, Nov 5: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) met the chief of Defence Staff (CDS) cum secretary, Department of Military Affairs, General Anil Chauhan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM at New Delhi on Thursday.
Governor Mishra last met General Chauhan on 10th September, 2022 during the inauguration of General Bipin Rawat Military Garrision at Kibithu prior to his appointment and promotion as CDS.
Mishra congratulated him in person on being appointed as the CDS. He conveyed the good wishes of the people of Arunachal Pradesh and expressed his hope that General Chauhan will make the Indian Armed Forces the best in the world. The Governor shared his observations about the border security in Arunachal Pradesh. He said that good civil and military relations have facilitated the development of infrastructure in the State.
Moreover, he mentioned about the welfare of the ex-servicemen in different parts of the country and suggested to the CDS for more proactive initiatives for the welfare of the ex-servicemen. He emphasised that welfare measures for them from Ministry of Defence, should reach down to the last ex-servicemen in the last village of the country, stated a press release.
