CEM Tuliram Ronghang Reviews Preparations Ahead Of PM’s Visit

DIPHU, April 13: With only 15 days left for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Karbi Anglong, the chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang on Wednesday inspected the ongoing preparation of the venue at Loringthepi under Howraghat LA.

He was accompanied by MLA Darsing Ronghang, DC of Karbi Anglong, IAS, Dibakar Nath, SP, Karbi Anglong, IPS, Pushpraj Singh and principal secretary, KAAC, Mukul Kumar Saikia inspected the helipad site where the Prime Minister’s helicopter will be landing.  He also urged the workers to speed up the construction work and other preparations.

For the visit of the Prime Minister a vast area of paddy field at Loringthepi has been selected and preparations are on. Sand gravel is being dropped non-stop with several dumpers working continuously to make a road from the NH-36 to the venue of the meeting. Bulldozers are continuously leveling the ground.

Later, the CEM convened a review meeting at the indoor stadium, Joysing Ronghang, Loringthepi with heads of all preparation sub-committees, which was attended by all heads of departments assigned to do the preparation works.

The CEM has asked the concerned officials and secretaries about the progress of preparation and requirements. He also asked the concerned members of Autonomous Council (MACs) and executive members (EMs) on how many people they will bring from their respective constituencies.

Informing the media, the CEM said that during the Prime Minister’s visit he will lay the foundation stone of various development projects for the people of Karbi Anglong.
