BOKAJAN, Dec 13: 10th foundation day of Sot Recho village in Bokajan was celebrated with fun and games. In the morning, the Sot Recho Village Committee lit lamps to seek blessings for the five clans for the Karbi tribe.
Executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Surjya Rongphar attending the function as the chief guest promised development schemes for the village. He asked the villagers to let him know about their grievances.
Games and fun activities were held for women and children on the occasion.
On the occasion, the anthem of Sot Recho village was also released by Surdor Engti, vice chairman of Bokajan Municipal Board.
President of Sot Recho Village Committee, Dilip Teron; secretary, Raju Engleng; chairman of Village Development Committee, Borjan, Sunaram Singnar; secretary of KSA, Bokajan District Committee, Desoi Teron; sarkari gaonbura, Borsing Bey; village headman Long Enghi and Anand Killing and others attended the programme.
