NALBARI, Jan 31: A total of four head teachers and a senior employee of the Education department were provided their pension benefit before their retirement day on Tuesday. They were also felicitated on the occasion during a simple function organised in the office of the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Nalbari District, on Monday.
They were feted with the traditional ‘gamosa’ by the employees of the office in the meeting presided over by the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Nalbari, Bhupendra Nath Sarma.
These head teachers are Ajoy KR Das, Bharati Barman, Naren Ch Barman, Dinesh Saikia and senior Office Assistant Dwipendra Sarma. During the function, these retired persons were given the benefit orders of Earn Leave encashment, Provisional DCRG and their respective deposited amount of Group Insurance.
District Officer Primary Education, Nalbari District, Simanta Deka dwelt on the contributions of the retired persons and hoped that each of the five retired persons, as senior citizens, would help in taking forward the light of education as they can in the future.
Among others who addressed the gathering were Ramani Barman, secretary of the District wing of ‘Awardee Teachers Association’ and Block Education Officers — Rajendra Kalita, Bhabesh Talukdar, Nikunja Barman and Assistant Officers — Kishor Deka, Inamul Majid, and Jyotish Das.
