SIVASAGAR, March 13: The All Tai Ahom Students Union (ATASU) Sivasagar district unit on Monday through a massive demonstration here, severely criticised the education minister Ranoj Pegu and the SEBA chairman Ramesh Jain over the nasty HSLC paper leak on Sunday that has sparked angry reactions from all sections of people.

Led by Bhaskar Borgohain, joint secretary, ATASU central committee, and Tapan Chetia, organising secretary, the ATASU activists burnt effigies of Ranoj Pegu and Ramesh Jain and raised slogans against the government for entrusting important departments to inefficient personalities.

Bhaskar Borgohain said that the two persons are up to destroy the education department, not to regurgitate it. He called upon chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to punish all guilty of the crime after instituting an enquiry.
