DONGKAMUKAM, March 31: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) IT cell Chairman, Ratul Kalita on Friday demanded formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) in Lok Sabha to unearth Rs 20,000 crore pumped into the account of Adani Group.

Kalita said, “JPC was formed during the Prime Ministership of Rajiv Gandhi, Narsimha Rao and even in Atal Bihari Vajpayee time to know the facts of various scams, but the present Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is afraid to form the committee.”
Kalita said this while addressing newsmen here.
Regarding the sentencing of Rahul Gandhi by court he said that it is a greater conspiracy on part of the ruling government so that the nexus of Modi and Adani is not raised in Parliament.
“BJP Government wanted Rahul Gandhi to be dislodged from Parliament because he is the one who questioned the relationship between Modi and Gautam Adani,” he said, adding that Gandhi would continue to voice against the government.
APCC social media coordinator, Bimal Doley; president, West Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (WKADCC), Sing Teron; and vice presidents, Rupsing Bongrung and Jatiram Pator and general secretary (administration), Honsing Enghee; general secretary, Chatrasing Teron and president, WKADMCC, Kareng Phanchopi were also present in the press meet.
