MARGHERITA, May 4:Â In an attempt to promote cultural unity in diversity and enlighten the masses about Agniveer scheme, Lekhapani Battalion of Spear Corps took part in the ‘Rongali’ cultural festival organised by the government of Assam on Thursday.
The festival is aimed at promoting cultural unity and celebrating the diversity of the state of Assam and the event was held at Tinkhong and witnessed a massive turnout including renowned figures in the field of business, sports, entertainment and politics.
In true spirit of the theme, Lekhapani Battalion showcased a unique blend of Pipe Band, Bhangra and Kalaripayattu martial arts display along with new generation weapons and equipments were also showcased to the masses while the Agniveer Orientation Cell educated the visitors about the avenues of joining the Indian Army.
