ITANAGAR, Sept 11: Administrative reforms in Arunachal Pradesh must be practical, people-oriented, and future-driven to ensure that governance reaches every corner of the State, including the most remote areas, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt General KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd), emphasised in an official statement issued by Raj Bhavan.
The Governor’s remarks came during a meeting with the Chairperson of the Administrative Reforms Commission, Promod Jain, IAS (Retd), at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, on September 11, 2025.
The two senior leaders deliberated on various measures through which administrative reforms can strengthen public trust, empower grassroots institutions, and improve service delivery, thereby paving the way for inclusive growth and good governance across the State.
In the official statement, the Governor underlined the need to fortify the administrative framework of Arunachal Pradesh in line with the aspirations and expectations of its citizens.
He stressed that reforms should foster participatory governance, modernization of administration, transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.
Such an approach, he noted, would not only improve governance but also enhance the State’s ability to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
The Governor further observed that Arunachal Pradesh, with its unique geographical terrain, rich cultural diversity, and strategic significance, requires an administrative model that is both efficient and sensitive to local customs and traditions.
He highlighted the importance of adopting reforms that respond to the specific needs of citizens while remaining aligned with long-term developmental goals.
The Governor’s message clearly emphasized that administrative reforms must be grounded in practicality, centred around people’s welfare, and oriented toward future sustainability.
He reiterated that only through such reforms can governance be extended effectively to remote regions, ensuring that all communities benefit from progress and development.
The official statement described the meeting as an important step toward shaping an administrative system that reflects the ethos of Arunachal Pradesh while empowering its people to participate in decision-making and growth initiatives.
