Thunderstorms likely in parts of Arunachal over next few days

ITANAGAR, March 20: Thunderstorms are likely in parts of Arunachal Pradesh over the next few days, according to the IMD.

West Kameng, Kamle, Lower Subansiri, Papum Pare, Namsai, Changlang, Tirap and Longding are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning at isolated places on Saturday, it said.

Upper Subansiri and Lower Dibang Valley may also witness similar conditions, it added.

On Sunday, thunder  rstorms with lightning are predicted in Lower Subansiri, Kamle, West Siang, Lower Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit, Tirap and Changlang.

On Monday, thunderstorm activity is likely to continue in parts of the state, particularly in West Kameng, Lower Subansiri, West Siang, Lower Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Namsai, East Siang, Tirap, Changlang and Longding.

Thunderstorms with lightning and heavy rain are very likely in Papum Pare, East Kameng, Kurung Kumey, Upper Siang and Tirap districts on Tuesday.

Heavy rain is also likely in West Siang and Siang districts, while thunderstorms with lightning may occur in Lower Subansiri, Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley, Changlang and Longding. (PTI)
