Tiranga yatra and cycle rally held in Namsai

NAMSAI, Aug 11: A tiranga yatra and cycle rally was organised on Monday from 2nd Mile to Gandhi Chowk under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

According to an official press release, the event was led by Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom and saw participation from Nang Koliani Namchoom, in-charge Deputy Commissioner of Namsai, the Superintendent of Police, the Commandant of CRPF 186 Battalion, the ZPC, administrative officers, heads of departments, CRPF personnel, police, students, and members of the public.

Addressing the gathering at the culmination point, Namchoom emphasised five key pillars for building a stronger and more harmonious society — equality for all, family values, environmental protection, self-reliance, and fulfilment of civic duties.

He urged citizens to incorporate these values into their daily lives.

Appreciating the public’s enthusiastic response to the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Namchoom encouraged all to display the national flag at their homes and honour it with due respect.
